The Presessional English Online course is designed to improve your English for academic study and prepare you for the world of undergraduate or postgraduate study.
​
By the end of this course you will be able to;
​
- Read and understand informative and academic articles
- Understanding essay questions and the expected answers
- Identify main ideas and extract key factual information within texts
- Have a more advanced, academic vocabulary
- Have a more advanced, academic understanding of grammar
- Give formal, academic presentations
- Understand the importance of fact checking and citation
- Organise and outline your ideas clearly in an essay answer
- Communicate with fellow students in a discussion, debate, or group situation
- Feel confident using the English language at a more advanced level

This course will also give you an insight into;

- What is to be expected of students at a UK university
- The type of topics you might come across
- The type of feedback you could receive from professors and lecturers
- The culture in a UK university
